Statement of faith
What we believe
Shepherdly is a Christian company, built by Christians for any Christian church. We affirm the historic, orthodox, creedal Christian faith. The clearest summary of what we believe is the Nicene Creed, which has united Christians across every tradition for over 1,600 years.
The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, begotten from the Father before all ages, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being with the Father; through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.

The gospel, in our own words
God created the world good. Humanity rebelled and fell into sin, brokenness, and death. God, in love, sent his Son Jesus Christ, fully God and fully human, to live a perfect life, die on the cross for our sins, and rise again on the third day, defeating death.
Through faith in Christ alone, by grace alone, any person is reconciled to God, forgiven, adopted, and given eternal life. The Holy Spirit indwells believers, grows us in holiness, and gathers us into the Church. Jesus is returning to make all things new.
The Bible is the inspired, authoritative, and trustworthy Word of God. It is our final standard for doctrine and practice.
Who this is for
Shepherdly is for any Christian church that affirms the gospel and the creed above. We do not draw lines on secondary issues. Baptist, Anglican, Pentecostal, Presbyterian, Catholic, Orthodox, independent, house church, megachurch. If you love the Lord Jesus, we want to help you shepherd your people well.
