Go to People → Import. Shepherdly recognises Elvanto's column names automatically — first name, family, member status, dates of birth, baptism dates.
Step 3
Review the preview, then confirm
You see exactly what will be created — people, households, tags — before anything is written. Fix any column mapping with one click, then import.

Import Contributions on the Giving page the same way. Donors with matching emails link automatically. Your history, statements and totals carry on.

How long does moving from Elvanto actually take?
About 10 minutes for most churches. You export your People and Contributions from Elvanto as CSV files, drop them into Shepherdly's importer, check the preview, and confirm. Nothing is written to your directory until you approve the preview.
Do I need technical skills?
No. If you can download a file and upload it again, you can do this. Shepherdly recognises Elvanto's export format and maps the columns for you — names, emails, families, member status, dates. You just review and confirm.
Does my giving history come across?
Yes. Export Contributions from Elvanto and import them on Shepherdly's Giving page. Donors are matched by email where possible; everything else is kept against the donor's name so your records and annual statements stay complete.
